I had to make some chicken curry this Saturday and realized at the last moment that I had run out of ginger. In my need to get lunch in a hurry I just made a paste of garlic and onions and added a good table spoon of pepper powder to it. What resulted was an innovative way of making chicken curry and tasted yummy ! Here is a picture, of course clicked in a hurry as it was finishing off the platesat a great speed 🙂

Chicken Curry

1kg chicken
2cups sliced onion
1large pod garlic cleaned
1large green chilli
salt to taste
1tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon pepper powder

Heat oil in a pan. Add 1 cup of diced onions and fry until translucent. Make a paste of the remaining onions, garlic and green chilli. Add to the sauteed onions and roast until brown. Add a tablespoon of black pepper powder and then add salt to taste. Finally add chicken…cover and cook on low heat until done. Serve hot with steam rice.
