Saturday Special: India takes a bow

World Cup 2011
World Cup 2011
28 years back India won its first world cup under the captainship of Kapil Dev. It took 28 years to come around. On Saturday, the world watched as team India chased a whooping 275 runs and won the finals of World Cup Cricket in Mumbai. Streets in Mumbai were empty during the entire duration of the match. But once Dhoni proved to be the real Midas Singh Dhoni(his actual name is Mahender Singh Dhoni but after having lifted every possible trophy existing in the cricketing world he has been often refferred to as Midas Singh Dhoni, everything he touches turns to Gold) the streets were full of merry crowd that celebrated way into the wee hours of the morning…and then some more !
Shruti  has a giveaway just to commemorate this occassion. I recently found her blog via craftgossip and since then I have been completely hooked on to the site, drawing inspiration from her varied posts.
