Last week I went to Nagpur and bought some fabric there.Since it was a trip to a wedding ceremony and too of a Quilting friend, good food, good fun, friends and returning home with a suitcase full of fabric was rather expected.

Saw this lovely chevron in baby pink and I just couldn’t resist it 🙂
The other one, a little darker, had designs which can be beautifully used as Quilt borders. Maybe I will put the two together to make a quilt.

Another pink quilt! OMG!! How many pink quilts am I going to make ? 100 maybe 🙂

I am back after a loooong looong break….my house was under renovation and Yes, before you ask me 🙂 I changed my sewing space and its a lot more magical now than before, with two full cupboards for storing my precious fabric!

Goes without saying, that the fabric buying continues…

These fabrics in the picture above are from an online store called Fabriclore. I love the ease of choosing fabric from the site…whats more, the fabric arrived neatly packed and in well in time for me to dream up new projects.

Happy to be back in the quilting space. Linking this to Sunday Stash by Molli Sparkles

This is the last set of fabrics for the first half of the year. A lovely set of 3 Fat Quarters from Kausalya Pandit from The Turquoise Paisley.

Along with it, bought a traditional silver leaf stand for paan(beetle leaf had as a digestive post a heavy Indian meal). It was Kausalya’s idea to use this as a bobbin stand. Love this new acquisition.

Here is some printed waterproof vinyl for my kid’s lunch bag as he prepares to join the new academic year. Hopefully it will be done by the time the school reopens after the summer vacation.

Along with it, is a side sling bag belt which I ordered from Riddhi. Orders from her are always timely and am assured of quality. As she is rather occupied currently with an ailing family member and some travel, our mutual good friend Kausalya from The Turquoise Paisley ensures orders are in place. Love the way the two work in tandem across locations and ensure on-time delivery, everytime.

The quilt top is finally ready and I cant tell you how happy I am. Not just because its the next logical step in quilt making but because this is where all the 100 blocks come together which I together before Halloween last year along with the #100days100blocks quilt along gang on Instagram.

This quilt top is huge…its 90X90″ and I have no clue what to back it with and how to quilt it on a domestic sewing machine. Here it is lying in all its majesty on my sofa:)

As of now, I am just basking in the happiness of the Quit Top being ready.

Some more goodies from my quilting friends! Oh! How I love them and the fabric they bring me. Couple of these are odd cuts from from a workshop I attended last autumn and they have made it to my cupboard now…

Trust my fabric obsessed friends to run away with all remaining scraps after the workshop. How I love fighting with them for fabric 🙂 only to be later returned with extra fabric ha ha ha
